Fallen a bit behind but going well.

Into week 9 of my Masters Degree in sustainable development now.

I definitly fell a bit behind initially due to simply being out of practice in terms of how to study and getting myself in the groove. I have been slowly catching back up but over the next week or 2 I will make a concerted effort to get ahead so that I don’t feel like I am playing catch up any more with the work. I find the courses quite interesting and enjoy studying.

The demands on my time have definitly increased over the last few months and I am starting to be able to cope with all the requirements but still doing what I want (which mainly consists of cycling and travelling).

Graduate Application

I heard back from the University of London regarding my grad school application. They want to see some supporting documents like my diploma and transcript from University.

I figure this can’t be bad, perhaps I have passed Phase I.

Application Sent

Last night I finally got off my application to grad school for Sustainable Development.

Its a somewhat weird feeling that I might be going (distance learning) back to school again after 4.5 years of working.

Essay for Graduation Application. Help Please.

In order to apply for the University of London Masters program there is one point that has me a bit stuck. I have to write an essay outlining my reasons for studying as per the specifications below.

A letter (no more than 500 words) outlining your reasons for wanting to study on the DLP together with relevant details of your previous education and work experience, and your current occupational responsibilities.

The part that has me a little bit worried is that I have to write about the connection between Computer Engineering / Internet / Web development and Sustainable Development.

Any ideas are much appreciated.

University of London graduate program

As I continue to look for a distance learning graduate program, I have recently become more and more interested in what The University of London has ot offer. They have an entire department entitled The Centre for Development, Environment and Policy and the programs look pretty good. Pretty much all the programs look quite interesting. However I think the one that I would be most interested in would be the Sustainable Development. Even just looking at the module titles themselves, I want to start looking into the topics.
