Day 7 in Vietnam – Tan Ly to Quang Ngai

I tried setting out a bit earlier this morning (8AM) which was a good idea. Now that I am a fair distance from major cities the traffic level has died downsomewhat and is perfectly tolerable, but the heat was not. It must have been over 30C with the sun beating down. The earlier start got me into Quang Ngai at about 2PM so I did miss the afternoon heat.
I made the detour to see the Son My (May Lai) memorial from the massacre back in the 60s. It was marginal but worth seeing, especially if in the area.
Having planned my trip from North to South in order to go with the prevailing winds, the wind has felt pretty against me for the last two days. It appears to be blowing from the East and since I am travelling South-East it feels like a headwind and pretty much keeps my speed below 20kph.
In order to avoid some of the midday heat and winds I will try and get out a bit earlier tomorrow.

Hello..!
Sounds like everything is going well.
Looking back on our trip to Amami, feel like I can imagine you being in trouble with the heat.
Will you uproad some pictures when you're back?
I would like to see the little sales-girl and you slip into the rice field.
Be safe and enjoy the rest to the full!
I am keeping track!
