A Big New Learning Experience
I found out yesterday that I am to be working at another company for a week later this month to do some installation of a technology called HBX which I will start looking into next week. This HBX stuff was actually something that I used on my own homepage starting back in 1996. It has probably changed since then though
I am really thrilled (and nervous at the sametime). This will be an excellent opportunity to learn a whole variety of new things. It will also be my first opportunity to work that closely with a client. This is the part that really has me scared, but I think it will be a good experience for me in the long run.
Recently, I have been feeling like I have not been learning that much. This is a really important aspect of the workplace for me. However some stuff on Search Engine Optimization (topic of a blog entry the near future) has recently peaked my interest and I have found it really interesting looking into to that. Other than that, it has bascially been nothing but mundane maintenance of already existing sites. This new project should be stimulating.
Overall, I am looking forward to it.
