Snow

Every year it gets near the end of January and I think it isn’t going to snow this year but it winds up giving a good few centimeters to make everything white. This year was no exception. Yesterday as I headed West out of Tokyo the rain turned to snow and by 11PM at least 5cm had accumulated on the roads and more on the ground.

Typhoon Approaching

Its looking like a typhoon will be heading towards Eastern Japan this weekend but its hard to tell whereabouts it will hit. It’s looking most likely like we will just get a whole lot of rain here in Tokyo.
Being Japan and everything being aware of typhoons, its amazing how little hype it gets compared to Hurricane Irene recently.
Paul

Watched Paul over the weekend. It’s the story of two british comic-geeks travelling across the US who run into an alien. I found the antics quite funny and throurally enjoyed the film. The only thing that I though really detracted from the movie was the special powers of the alien. It seemed to me that the comedic antics were more than enough for a quality movie and special powers made it rather derivative (ala ET for example).

Cherry Blossoms in Tokyo

I went riding with half fast over the weekend and got to see a good amount of cherry blossoms near Higashi Ojima station.
I managed to get a couple nice pictures of myself and cherry blossoms and the new bike.
